Mid-Level Game Designer

​​

Responsibilities:

​

  • In charge of multiple redesigns for the previous game challenges across the game​

​

  • Create and take ownership of props and challenges, ensuring any changes are made with the correct intentions from code, art, and design​​

​​

  • Concept and pitch every aspect of design for Yooka Replaylee as feedback to improve and create empathy focused designs to improve the Player experience

    • Evaluate and provide design feedback for all challenges and boss fights.

    • I proposed a structured redesign framework for boss encounters in the Glacier world—Introduce, Reinforce, and Test—which prompted a rework of the Glacier Boss. The revised boss battle now incorporates the mechanics and structure I developed.

  • Design large combat encounters in multiple levels whilst creating a mini boss encounter prop easy for other developers to use

  • Took ownership of one of the 5 worlds (Jungle) along side the challenges, art, enemy placements, prop placements and landscape changes.

​

  •  Concept, Level design, create props, and new content for the new challenges across the game.

​

  • Bug fixing

​​
